About the role
RSPCA Queensland is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Op Shop Furniture & Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team at the Wacol Animal Care Campus. As a crucial member of our logistics team, you'll play a key role in collecting donated furniture and facilitating the efficient movement of goods to our various Op Shops across Brisbane.
- Safely unload and load trucks in a timely manner.
- Conduct multi-stop pickups and deliveries.
- Embrace and promote a proactive safety culture, participating in all safety initiatives.
- Represent the RSPCA Qld team and brand with positivity, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
- Undertake stock movements and collections from our shops and donor properties.
- Assist with volunteer vehicle fleet rostering.
- Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team, including supervising and training others.
- Assist with regional transport during peak periods, as required.
Who are we looking for?
- A current Open Driver’s licence and excellent driving record is essential.
- The ability to work autonomously and use initiative.
- Knowledge of a warehousing environment including vehicles.
- Professional presentation.
- A trustworthy and honest approach.
- Excellent customer service.
- The ability/fitness to undertake physical demands of the role.
- Be reliable, punctual and hardworking.
This is a full-time position, based at the Wacol Animal Care Campus working Monday to Friday from 7:30am – 4:00pm. Remuneration is as per the General Retail Industry Award banded from $26.18 to $30.00 per hour commensurate with skills and qualifications.
Applicants who do not possess a current MR licence will not be considered for this role and need not apply. Shortlisted applicants will be required to undertake a National Police Clearance check and a driving assessment.
